3rd June 2025 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 3rd June 2025, telephone number +447721862577 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Matthew L Owen working for Ulster Bank Group using email address foreignoperation@ulsterbk.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

I wish to bring to your notice that we have successfully completed the process and clearance of your funds transfer of which was granted after due process with the management of the Ulster Bank, it is very important to let you know that we are privy to bring to your notice that in accordance with the Financial statutory policies guidelines, a beneficiary is expected to pay an upfront fee sum of GBP 670 which is meant for Administrative and Handling fee for the Office of the UK Treasury department before your funds is allowed to be released to your designated bank account in Mongolia
