25th July 2018 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 25th July 2018, telephone number +27627832117 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Riaan Louw working for Riaan Louw & Associates using email address louwriaan@yahoo.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

RE: REMITTANCE OF YOUR FUND – USD20.5MILLION

We write in respect of the above and hereby state that we have been saddled with the responsibility/instruction to ensure the remittance of the above named fund or part thereof to the proper beneficiary (ies). The essence of this commission became necessary in view of the fact that a lot of funds due to foreign beneficiaries are holed up in our local banks unlawfully due to the banks greed and desire for more and more profits. This has negatively affected the influx of foreign investors into South Africa, hence our instruction to remedy this.

The above fund was identified as one the funds that has suffered the aforesaid unjust detention/retention in our local bank and we have been in court litigating for the release of the fund to your goodself.

We are happy to inform you that we have concluded our Final Address/Argument in court on this matter and the court is scheduled to give judgement and make its Order on Monday, the 30th of July 2018. In line with the precedent in place in our courts, coupled with the force of our closing argument, it is expected that the Judgement will be in our favor, thereby paving the way for the remittance of the said amount or part thereof to your nominated account which we have as:
