26th July 2021 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 26th July 2021, telephone number +2349078739346 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Rev. Phillip Obi working for Central Bank of Nigeria using email address rev.phillip.obi11@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

We wish to inform you that as we write you this email, there is one Mr. Tony Eze from Nigerian bank official and two people from the United States of America, Kenneth Choi and William Bill. These three men came to our bank two to inform us that you the beneficiary of this approved fund, that you died two months ago in an auto crash.

They claimed that they are the ones that are the next of kin to this your fund now. They have paid other charges including the bank charges in order for them to claim this fund. But they are yet to pay the transfer programming charges of $330.

We decided to contact you back to confirm if their claim is true before we honor payment of this approved fund to them as the next of kin. But if you are still alive you should kindly get back to us immediately through email or this phone number: +234-9078739346.

Please we expect your immediate call so that we will stop the transfer of the fund to them.
