24th January 2023 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 24th January 2023, telephone number +2347061690576 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Muhammadu Buhari using email address genmuhbuh.nigpresid1942@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Dear

Yes I have received your address and phone number but to avoid any
delay I hired a Lawyer to secure all your genuine government fund
release documents to your favor before your $35.5 million dollars can
be swiftly sent to you by a working ATM Card with pin numbers ready
for use and the Lawyer have started work today. The name of the Lawyer
is Barrister DURU DADA (SAN) Senior Advocate of Nigeria and his e-mail
address is barr.durudadaniglaw08@gmail.com as I advise
you to send a Thank You Mail to him now so he can feel appreciated by
you to secure all the fund release documents and send to you
Wednesday. If you want to receive your $35.5 million by wire transfer
send your Bank details to me now to save time ok.

Lastly, in my effort to assist you I have given the Lawyer my savings
worth $30,950 dollars to pay his legal fee to secure all the needed
fund release documents to your favor, pay the approval fees to secure
all the needed documents and pay the lobby fees but if the money I
gave to the Lawyer is not enough to pay for all the needed documents I
will NOT hesitate to ask you to contribute your own fee but first let
us wait till Wednesday when the Lawyer is expected to secure some
documents and tell us how much you will send to him to conclude your
payment and if you refuses to assist me then we revoke your $35.5
million dollars and re-assign it to another beneficiary. You can call
