14th November 2022 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 14th November 2022, telephone number +233207980623 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Mark Frank using email address mafa16629@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Here is the email that the scammer sent to his victims.
Hi,
First and foremost, I would like to know which sector the fund will be
invested into and secondly what will be the equity allocation of each
partner. Or you want it in commission and if that is how you want it
and if that is the case. What commission would you be comfortable? If
you have an investment plan in regards to the investment project/s you
intends to invest the money into. Be advised to send such plan to me
for a review.

We will sign an agreement(s) at end of all our discussions to make our
partnership more legal purposeful. If you want, I will send you a non
disclosure agreement for both parties to sign to protect whatever
information we will be sharing in the near future. Upon request, I
will send you all the documents relating to the investment funds and
also the non disclosure agreement and afterwards a join venture
partnership agreement will be drafted and signed by the two parties.

In completion of all legal processes the investment funds will be
delivered to you by UN Agent. However, I have already informed my
lawyer to draft the the said agreement and
will forward it to you by tomorrow. Note, we will effect change of
ownership of the document to your name and this will cost you a small
amount of money. This will help us in smooth transfer of the funds to
the country of destination.
