31st December 2022 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 31st December 2022, telephone number +22965657138 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Ken Brandy using email address info-bj@accountant.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Here is the email that the scammer sent to his victims.
We are here to inform you that the finance minister of the Republic of Benin has been instructed to release your sum of $1.5 million and now they have deposited it in our bank for immediate wire transfer to your bank.

You are required to forward your account details to where your compensation of one million five hundred thousand United States Dollars will be sent to you.

However, once we program these funds with your account details, we will change the transfer of funds to your account and it will occur that the amount will be handles the loading into your account, which will happen for anything requested at those points when the fund is being loaded into your account, as it will be referring to all checks of our monitoring system, we must inform you to make all necessary effects requested in the checks of our monitoring system more quickly to avoid diverting or blocking, you will do it faster while waiting for the next 72 hours to have the upload successfully reflected in the next 72 hours of international bank rules transaction policies, so please provide your phone number to call you when loading these funds is complete.

Once we program these funds with your account details, after we receive your message, we will provide you with a link which you will click on to witness that the funds have already been alternated loading and transferring to your account.
