21st February 2018 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 21st February 2018, telephone number +221703676903 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Dr. Louis Byron using email address dr.louis@accountant.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Meanwhile he and I are arranging to invest on some lines of business establishments here in Thailand at the moment,well I just want to appreciate your honest efforts in me when I contacted you even if you could not afford to finish it with me but you responded to me immediately when I contacted you. and for keeping your mouths shut in keeping me in confidence, i left an ATM VISA CARD with the amount of ($250,000) to Dr.Louis Byron who is the Accountant in UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA,(Two Hundred and fifty thousand US dollars) at the United Bank for Africa, for you, it is just a token to appreciate you for your efforts in trying to help me to get this funds when i was in China, despite the fact that it failed because it was not the appropriate time. So you have to be fast and contact the Dr Louis Byron in United Bank for Africa immediately
