12th March 2023 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 12th March 2023, telephone number +18324799595 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be PNC Bank using email address director@tx-pnc.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Dear Sir!
We are contacting you regarding your payment ($5.000.000 USD).

Following the purchase and subsequent change of ownership of the “BBVA Bank USA” now “PNC Bank USA” all impending payments in our BBVA Swift server, including your Five Million USD ($5.000.000) COVID-19 Economic Relief Fund granted to you by your State Government has been re-approved.

It will interest you today to know that your Fund ($5.000.000) has been re-issued, and the money has been transferred over to our corresponding bank server and put in an ATM CARD.

We have instructed the PNC Bank Transfer Department to send the ATM CARD under your name and address to you immediately you contacted them with your full name and address where you want the ATM CARD to be delivered to you.

Please contact the PNC Bank Transfer Department immediately you read this message so that they can send the ATM CARD to you according to the IMF instruction to them.
