11th December 2017 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 11th December 2017, telephone number +16464502929 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Doris Obeche using email address minfintax1951@ymail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Although we have verified the payment bond submitted but the Intelligence Monitoring Network requires further verification of source of fund in line with the International Counter-Money Laundry Act prohibiting the movement of funds above the $1M USD) benchmark.

Therefore, in pursuance of the Article 102, Section 36, Sub-section IV of the Allied Policy & other Private Institutions Decree (APOPID) guiding against movement of such fund without International Fund Clearance Certificate (IFCC) from the Bilateral Unit of United Nations Office.

This is in line with the Bi-lateral Agreement reach between the UN, Asia, United States Government and European Council. The Agreement further states that any fund that has stayed beyond 48 hours without such IFCC clearance does not enjoy immunity and might be subjected to confiscation or otherwise.
