The website falsely claims to be for a law firm based in London and misuses the name and address of a genuine firm.
The website also lists four "attorneys" supposedly called "Dorman J. Wachtel", "Henry Brook", "Jean Coker" and "Andrew Rodney". The SRA does not authorise or regulate any solicitors of these exact names.
In addition to misusing the genuine address of a genuine firm, the website also provides a contact email address of "info@djwachtelsolicitors.uk", a telephone number of 07440934018 and a fax number of 020 8711 2352.
The SRA has also been informed that at least one letter (in German) has been sent in the name of "D.J. Wachtel (Solicitors) LLP". A letter seen by the SRA refers to the website above and misuses the same postal address. The letter again lists the fax number of "+44 20 8711 2352†but lists an email address of "henrybrook32@gmail.com" and a telephone number of "+44 208-089-3321".
The website mentioned above is not a website for a genuine firm of solicitors, and the SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm of solicitors called "D.J Wachtel (Solicitors) LLP".

Scam alert from the Solicitors Regulatory Authority:
The SRA has received a report that a faxed letter claiming to relate to an inheritance matter has been sent to a member of the public, falsely claiming to be from Michael John Munro.
The faxed letter seen by the SRA is understood to have been sent to a recipient in the USA, and refers to an unclaimed “Deposited-insurance Fund†apparently worth US$10,500.00. The letter states that the sender is trying to locate a missing relative/beneficiary. The letter asks the recipient, who it seems has a similar surname to the supposedly deceased client, to make contact to proceed with the claim.
The faxed letter claims to be sent by â€Michael John Munro†and falsely claims that “Michael John Munro Advocate and Legal Consultant†is a law firm based in London. The fax includes reference to email addresses of “mmunroesq@gmail.com†and “mjmunro@mjmadvocate.co.uk†and contact numbers of +011 (44) 74 4191 1368 (telephone) and +011 (44) 2087112352 (fax).
The SRA is also aware that a website claiming to be for “Michael John Munro Advocate and Legal Consultant†is operating from “www.mjmadvocate.co.ukâ€. The website includes the same contact numbers of 074 4191 1368 and 020 8711 2352 and an additional email address of info@mjmadvocate.co.uk. Both the website and faxed letter provide a postal address that is the same as an address used by genuine firms of solicitors.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm of solicitors called “Michael John Munro Advocate and Legal Consultantâ€. Any business or transactions through the website, email addresses or contact numbers above, are not undertaken by a solicitor’s practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
