The domain brdip.com is not registered.The SRA has received information that several members of the public have received letters sent by fax or email, falsely claiming to be from "Barr. Brown Rudnick BA (distinction) J.D" of the firm Brown Rudnick LLP. The letters relates to an unclaimed inheritance of a previously unknown individual.
A letter seen by the SRA states that "Brown Rudnick ESQ" is a lawyer dealing with the estate of the individual, who shares the same surname as the recipient of the letter. The letter states that the deceased client has left an estate of 14,950,777 euros.
The email seen by the SRA was sent from the email address of brownrundickba1@gmail.com.
The letters seen by the SRA were sent from the fax number of 44 208 0684 938.
The correspondence also gives an email address of "br@brdip.com", a website of http://www.brdllp.com, telephone numbers of 00 44 208 0892 591, 00 44 208 0892 and 00 44 208 0892 891 and the fax numbers of 00 44 208 0684 938 and 00 44 208 0084 038. The correspondence also appears to use the address of a genuine firm of solicitors.
The SRA has also been informed that the website address referred to above is a link to a website cloned from the website of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).
Any business or transactions conducted through the contact details above are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
