An email has been sent in relation to a conveyancing transaction falsely claiming to be from "Mandy More" of AF Baker & Co Solicitors.
The SRA has been informed that an email has been sent that falsely claims to be from "Mandy More", at "AF Baker & Co Solicitors". The content of the email relates to a conveyancing transaction and refers to an (unattached) sales memo for a property.
The email which the SRA has seen states it is from "Mandy More, Joint Partner" at "AF Baker & Co Solicitors". The email address is given as "mandymore@afbakersolicitors.org". A postal address is given as "144 Brighton Road, Coulsden, Surrey, C77 2NJ". The email also provides a contact number of 020 87777 04199 and a fax number of 020 7776 3094.
Any business or transactions through A F Baker & Co Solicitors via the contact details above are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
The footer of the email seen by the SRA also gives the telephone number of a genuine firm of solicitors.
The SRA does not authorise a solicitor by the name of Mandy More or Amanda More, nor a firm by the name of AF Baker & Co Solicitors.
