On 25th March 2018, telephone number +447452271894 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Dr. Benson Owen using email address drbensonoww@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

We have actually been authorized by the Newly General Manger of hsbc bank, Mr. Jon Yeomans and the governing body of the Financial monetary unit in United Kingdom, to investigate the unnecessary delay of your inheritance payment/lottery payment approved in your favor years back .

During the course of our investigation, we discovered with dismay that certain deposit with banks in Africa and Asia , but payment has been unnecessarily Delayed by corrupt officials of the Bank officials who are Trying to divert the said fund into their private accounts, thereby requesting fees that are not necessary to frustrate you, so that they will finally convert the payment to theirs.

A new law has been made by governing body of bank of England, since on the 30th June 2016 following the UK voting to leave European union, Since then the British Government have made it Mandatory that every transaction of this kind the Beneficiary must first open a non residential online bank with hsbc bank, so that the payment will be directed to your online bank account.
