Here is the email that the scammer sent to his victims.
Dear Sir/Madam

I am representative of foundation O fonds located in Latvia. The mission of O fonds is to provide financial support to people suffering from cancer and not having sufficient income to cover the costs of diagnosis and treatment. O fonds is created in 1993. In 24 years time twice was a change in the name, due to the change of goals.

To fight cancer successfully it is important to do as early diagnoses as possible, to apply up-to -date medical treatment methods and to use the new generation medicine. Unfortunately, due to the current economic situation in Latvia only small part of cancer patients can afford modern treatment methods. The main aim of O fonds is to help low income Latvians to do the necessary examinations and start medical treatment as soon as possible.
