8th June 2018 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 8th June 2018, telephone number +2349082377034 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Dr. Shehu Adamu using email address shadamu1961@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Dear Sir,

LONE OVERDUE OUTSTANDING CONTRACT PAYMENT

This is to inform you of the directive received from the Federal
Government of Nigeria to carefully study all the foreign
companies/individuals that their payment has been withheld by the past
government and some officials of the Ministry of Finance and Central
Bank of Nigeria that were requested UN-necessary fees and charges
which the fees are not reflected in the government treasury.

In furtherance to this directive all contractor is here by to
reconfirm all their contract number and contract sum with your
receiving bank details so that we will advise you on how your contract
payment will be release to you.


As soon as we receive your reconfirmation with any of past documents
given to you by the past officer in charge this will help us to
quickly recommend you as the bonafide owner of the fund and kick start
the processing of your payment without any further delay from our
side.
