On 16th December 2017, telephone number +233557093129 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Emmanuel Amankwa using email address riakwaventures@gmail.com as part of a Gold Scam.


Here is the email that the scammer sent to his victims.
Hello XXX,

Thank you for responding to our offer.

We hereby attached our Full Corporate Offer (FCO) for your perusal. We also attached our Company Certificate of incorporation.

As regards the payment of 3% of the value of the gold in cash for export it is the responsibility of the buyer when buyer is in Ghana and has inspected the gold and have it tested for quality confirmation so that the said amount will be used to pay all taxes , levies and charges for the shipment of the gold accompanied by seller representative to complete the transaction for the recovery of the rest of 97% of the value of the gold.

Gold sellers in Ghana always expect the cost of the gold to be paid in full to them even before shipment as there are gold testing companies in Ghana that test gold for payment for gold sellers.

But we realize that some gold buyers want to have the gold finally tested at refineries of their choice in the home countries and that is why we give the benefit to those want the transaction that way so in order to offer commitment to the transaction then the buyer pays for the shipment cost from the country of origin to the buyer destination to complete the transaction.

On event Buyer cannot come to Ghana there is a credit facility here in Ghana whereby we can arrange with Cargo handlers to deliver not more than 50 Kilograms to London so that the Business take place in London but buyer will be ready to pay to the Agent the Handling Charge upon the arrival of the Gold in London.
