21st April 2019 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 21st April 2019, telephone number +233261107287 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be UPS Express using email address ups_express_ltd@yahoo.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.

In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

This is a special message from the IMF Office Accra, Republic of Ghana, you are hereby being informed that your E-mail address is one of the selected scammers victim, be inform after UN meeting hold on last week, the central bank of Ghana Republic has compensated you with sum of $3.5M, today the appointed bank has programmed your inheritance fund into co-operation visa card ATM, your card was submitted to our office since last week for proper verifications.

Be inform that this morning our secretary Deposited your inheritance compensation fund $3.5M USD programmed inside ATM CARD in UPS Express Courier Service Accra Ghana, for your information you will contact the Courier company with sum of $168 dollars for security keeping fee and delivery charges, the UPS Express refused to collect the money from our Secretary because they don’t’ know when you will contact them with your current information to avoid wrong delivery.
