10th May 2018 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 10th May 2018, telephone number +221778677601 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Dr. William Song using email address equalrightschambers1@gmail.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Hello My Darling,
How are you doing once again today, I believe you are doing well. God will bless and reward you for every effort you are making to see me out from this horrible situation i found myself today. As for me i am fine here with all hopes that you will assist me to transfer my money to your position for a better life with you.

I appreciated the way you are handling this transfer of my money to your position pending my arrival to meet with you to start a new life. I am suffering here and i believe with you i can start a new life in your country after the transfer of my money to your account. Darling I have see what the bank is demanding before they will transfer my money to your position. Presently i have my Late Father Death Certificate and Deposit Certificate with me here which i am going to give to this lawyer to send to you when you contact him. The only problem we have now is the Power of Attorney which the bank said that it will be issued by a lawyer here in Senegal for me to sign my signature on it.

After reading the bank mail, i discussed it with our Reverend Humiu James and he gave me the contact of this lawyer Dr. Barrister William Song. He is one of the lawyers working with the united nations refugee commission here in Dakar Senegal. I will want you to contact him on telephone and email. Telling him that you are my foreign partner that you need his services to prepare a power of attorney that will enable you transfer my $4.8 million dollars from Al Rayan Bank of London to your account on my behalf due to my refugee status.
