27th January 2018 - Advance Fee Fraud Scam

On 27th January 2018, telephone number +15103286597 was reported as being used by scammers to pretend to be Betty Mayo using email address moneygramoffic4001@outlook.com as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam.
In Advance Fee Fraud Scams, the scammer will offer you something of high value (a large sum of money or gold for example) and all you have to do is pay a "small" fee. What the scammer is offering you does not actually exist and the scammer will come up with fee after fee that needs to be paid by the victims, until he either runs out of money or realises that he has been scammed. The scammer will often pretend to be real people or companies, use fake websites and introduce various characters, all with the aim of convincing the victim that what is being offered to him is real.

Dear Customer,

This is to report to you that our MONEY GRAM BUREAU have received a correspondence from the federal high court as cancellation notice for your funds transfer to be deleted from foreign payment file .
The MONEY GRAM management desires to inform you that your funds transfer with us has been programmed among the TWO (2) transactions that would face cancellation soon.

We have waited long time enough for you to fulfill the required obligations and claim the funds like other beneficiaries that have claimed their funds before April ending this year but nothing comes up from you as indication from the funds owner.

The management of this MONEY GRAM held an urgent meeting in my office today, regards to the transferring of your funds by MONEY GRAM and they have asked my office to submit all the paper works and files containing your funds confidentiality but i refused and asked the board members to give me from now till 3days time so that i consult you personally for you to declare your interest on the funds transfer of $4.5 million United State Dollars.

Finally, if you still have the interest of being paid your funds by MONEY GRAM money transfer; you should kindly forward your receiver’s name and address including your ID, phone number and your Email and password immediately so that we can verify your email and make sure that there are no hackers on it before we can update you the mtcn number.
