The SRA has been informed that the calls to members of the public relate to payments concerning timeshare properties. It appears that the telephone calls are made from the telephone number of 0121 374 0203 and are followed by emails being sent to the recipients of the telephone call.
A copy email seen by the SRA is sent from the email address of “mauriceandrews@consultant.comâ€, and is sent in the name of Maurice Andrews Solicitors Ltd, and misuses the name, contact details and companies house number of a genuine firm.
The email is sent in the name of Legal Secretary, Jessica Davids and suggests that a call will be made from a George Andrerson.
Any business or transactions conducted through the telephone number of 0121 374 0203 and email address of “Mauriceandrews@consultant.com†are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
