From the WhoIs for abacussolicitors.co.uk:The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent which falsely claim to be from "David Simpson Esq Solicitor - Probate Executive" at Abacus Solicitors.
The email seen by the SRA has been sent from the email address "david@abacussolicitors.co.uk". The email and attached documents refer to a purported agreement and invoice for legal services, for work on the estate of a deceased individual with the same surname as the recipient of the correspondence.
The email and attached documents seen by the SRA misuse the name and genuine office addresses of a genuine firm. The email and attached documents also provide a telephone and fax number of 020 8242 6330.
Any business or transactions through the email address "david@abacussolicitors.co.uk" or the telephone or fax number 020 8242 6330 is not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
