The SRA has been informed that law firms have received emails falsely claiming to be from Stephen Ward at Stokes Solicitors LLP.
The emails refer to a quotation for services for a purchase matter, which is attached to the email, and also ask for further instructions. The emails seen by the SRA appear to have been sent from "Stokes Solicitors LLP", but were actually sent from the email addresses "jhbawa@gmail.com" and "nikkypsven@gmail.com".
The email provides the telephone number 023 92 828179. It also provides the genuine fax number and website address of a genuine firm.
Any business or transactions through the email addresses "jhbawa@gmail.com" and "nikkypsven@gmail.com" are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
