The SRA has received information that a number of individuals have received emails falsely claiming to be from Jeremy Nixon of Thrings LLP. The emails relate to a purported unclaimed inheritance.
The emails invite the recipient to contact the sender, so that information can be provided as to making a claim on an inheritance fund. The emails were sent from a number of email addresses, including "jeremy1nixon@outlook.com".
An email seen by the SRA claims to be sent from Thrings LLP and provides the address details of Kinnaird House 1 Pall Mall, East London, SW1Y 5AU and also includes two telephone numbers "44 703 193 6657" and "44 793 746 0382".
Any business or transactions conducted through the email address "jeremy1nixon@outlook.com" or telephone numbers of "44 703 193 6657" and "44 793 746 0382" are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.

The SRA has been informed that members of the public have received e-mails, sent from a "gmail" email account, which falsely claim to be from Matthew Woods of Withers LLP.
An email seen by the SRA was sent from the email address "matthewwoodswithersbergmanllp@gmail.com" (which may also be shown as "matthewwoodsllpwithers@gmail.com"). The email asked the recipient to help "Matthew Woods" claim funds from the bank account of a purported client who had died and had the same surname as the recipient.
The SRA has been informed that another email sent from the same email address noted above referred the recipient to a "business proposal", with a telephone number of 44-703-193-6657 being provided.

The SRA has been informed that members of the public have received emails which falsely claim to be from Allen Cohen of Fladgate LLP, regarding obtaining the benefit of an unclaimed inheritance from a previously unknown relative.
The emails seen also misuse the name and address of a genuine firm and provide contact telephone numbers of +44 793 746 6982 and +44 703 193 6657.

The emails seen by the SRA refer to a large sum of unclaimed inheritance, and ask the reader to make contact in order to try and claim a sum of money from a finance company.
One of the emails seen by the SRA provides the address of Salisbury House, London Wall, London, EC2M 5PS and telephone numbers of "+44 703 198 0639" and "+44 703 193 6657".
