Mod Note: The domain hartbrown.co.uk is a legitimate domain belonging to the real firm of solicitors and has no involvement in the scam.The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent and telephone calls have been made which fraudulently claim to be from "Nicole Lush" at "Hart Brown Solicitors".
The emails claim to enclose draft contract documentation, which may contain malware. The SRA understands that the telephone calls claim to be from Nicole Lush and ask to speak to a specific person, but if the receiver of the call states that the person is not there the caller ends the call advising they cannot say more for reasons of confidentiality.
The email the SRA has seen falsely claims it has been sent from "Hart Brown Solicitors", but it was sent from the email address "funmi.busola@gmail.com".
The email seen by the SRA provides a telephone number of 01483 889676, a fax number of 01483 882753 and an email address of "nl@hartbrown.co.uk". The fraudulent email also includes a genuine address, website address and SRA identification number for the genuine firm.
Any business or transactions through the email addresses "funmi.busola@gmail.com" and "nl@hartbrown.co.uk" or the telephone or fax numbers of 01483 889676 and 01483 882753 are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
