Scam Type: Advance Fee Fraud Scam

From the Solicitors Regulation Authority website:
An email has been sent to a member of the public claiming to be from "Attorney Michael Richmond" and from a firm called "Richmond Law Chambers". The email refers to a potential inheritance claim and asks the recipient of the email to provide their personal details, including a copy document such as a passport/driver's license to prove identification. The email suggested that the recipient could be entitled to receive a financial lump sum in the amount of £4,500,000.

The email was sent from the email address of "arrichmondcchambers@gmail.com". The email provides further contact email addresses of info@richmchambers.com and enquiry@richmchambers.com and a telephone number of +44 793 741 1481. Any business or transactions through "Michael Richmond" using the email addresses or telephone number set out above are not undertaken by an authorised solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.

The email also provides a postal address of 12 Church Street, London, E15 3HX, which is the genuine address of a genuine law firm.
