The SRA has been informed of an email from "Mc Higgs & Co.", which falsely claims to be from a solicitor. The email seen by the SRA has been sent from the email address, "mchisadza@gmail.com". The email refers to a proposed contract and asks the reader to make contact with the sender of the email.
The email provides the following contact information: *** MAKE THE BELOW POINTS ***The email also provides a genuine SRA number, which has been misused.
- telephone numbers of 05628 675777 and +44 (0)161 456 5677;
- a fax number of 46728 638666; and
- an address of 13 Wessex Road, Southampton, SL6 1SW.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm called "Mc Higgs & Co.". Therefore, any business or transactions through the email address or contact details listed above are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
